About Bayou Justice
35 Years of Investigations. 64 Parishes. One Mission: The Truth.
For three decades, the Bayou Justice column has been a fixture in Louisiana news, dedicated to uncovering the stories that the shadows tried to hide. From the humid marshes of the coast to the pine forests of the north, we have traversed every corner of the Pelican State to bring forgotten victims into the light and hold the powerful accountable.
Now, Bayou Justice is evolving. We are moving beyond the constraints of the weekly newspaper column to build a dedicated home for high-stakes investigative reporting, forensic analysis, and cold-case advocacy.

Why Bayou Justice?
In an era of “junk food” true crime, Bayou Justice offers something different: Authority.
Every report, podcast, and video is grounded in 35 years of boots-on-the-ground journalism. We don’t just recount crimes; we deconstruct them using three core pillars:
The Puzzle: We provide the raw data, maps, and timelines that allow you to test your own investigative instincts.
The Science: We collaborate with retired detectives, forensic pathologists, and legal experts to explain the how and why behind the headlines.
The Empowerment: We believe in “Ethical True Crime.” Our work is victim-centered, designed to inform our community, advocate for justice, and help you stay vigilant in an unpredictable world.
